Transit Rules

Transit travelers can take advantage of a number of services specifically designed for this category of tourists. In order to get into the transit zone, you just need to follow the signs “Transit”. If you need to collect your luggage, you should go to the Baggage hall and then go through immigration and customs. Then you need to go to the departure area of ​​the correct terminal for the airline with which the passenger is traveling. The transition between any two terminals in the building will not take more than 20 minutes, as all three terminals are next to each other.

A UAE transit visa will not be required if the passenger is at the airport for four hours or less. For those who stay in the transit zone, there are various options, depending on how much time the passenger has left.

The airline from which the tickets are booked must be able to arrange a transit visa for travel. It is important to check this information with your airline in advance. A transit visa is valid for 14 days from arrival in the UAE. If this country is a third country, then it is important to confirm your flight with the availability of air tickets. The foreign passport must be valid for at least 6 months. If the air passenger has European citizenship, then he can obtain a visa for 30 days upon arrival. Citizens of the following countries are not eligible for a transit visa on arrival: Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Niger and Yemen.
